Oh I just simply don't know what to say but I'm so so sorry. She was an incredible dog. Kate you have been through so much with her by your side. She was a true angel. God bless her for being such a blessing in this lifetime. Kate many hugs and prayers for you as you grieve.
My condolences to you and your family. Waffle Nugget was and is an energy icon of patience and hope and wellness and funny turkey legs. You are going to be ok because she taught you how, and you shared her with all of us. Thank you!
My sincere sympathy on Waffle. My heart hurts for and with you, dear lady. Your wisdom in that life is the both is truly sage and born of your struggle and strengthā eponymous. Iāll try to carry that with me. Many blessings. š
Rest in peace wafflenugget š she taught all of us valuable life lessons and inspired everyone who got to watch her over the years. My heart is with you and Dave and Tug as you navigate this loss.
Run free and easy to the Rainbow Bridge, WAFFLE. PawPrayers for your Hoos and anipals, they grieve, too. If you have a chance, check out the floofy clouds and set a spell with our little MOLLY. You can watch the goings-on down here together.
They never really leave us, they stay in our hearts. Our hearts have their own chemicals, memories, neurons and emotions separate from the brain. Our hearts have stronger electromagnetic fields than our brains; dogs know this and thatās why they choose to stay in our hearts.
Someone shared a suggestion with me that helped get through the most painful time when our little MOLLY passed: when our animal companions pass, they are in a transitional state immediately afterwards. They stay around us as weāre familiar; they can see and hear us but they arenāt used to their new state of being. So to help them get used to their new energy, itās important to continue routines that you did together, like talking to them and especially feeding. Placing a little bit of food out for them acknowledges their presence; even tho they canāt eat it, they can see you do that and it helps them transition. You donāt have to do it forever, just however long you and your animal companion decide that you continue the routine, however long feels good. Itās also an activity, something to DO instead of be sad. I cleaned MOLLYāS water bowl and filled it for a while after she passed; also leave a couple of her favorite toys out. She visits in dreams, occasionally I feel her presence very strongly, I catch a movement out of the corner of my eye or hear a soft āwoofā down the hall or feel a shift of weight in my lap. We talk about the things she did and laugh and sometimes bark at squizzas and cats. She rides with us. They leave us all kinds of messages and sometimes they send other animals as messengers.
We humans forget that we have hearts and THINK our brains are the most powerful organ but itās our hearts that are more powerful; our hearts have a measurable electromagnetic field that extends beyond our bodies and itās stronger than the brainās field. 60K stronger. Same with animals. Itās natural and not a sign of weakness to feel empathy or compassion; those emotions come from your mammalian brain, not the hind/reptilian brain. You canāt rush grief but you can get through it.
